The Free Legal Aid Camp was successfully conducted at Vinayaka
Missions Law School under the leadership of the Center for Access
to Justice and Legal Aid Clinic. This initiative was headed by Dr.
Fowmina and Dr. Krishna Kishore, who played a crucial role in
organizing and executing the program effectively. The event aimed
at providing legal assistance and spreading awareness among
students, faculty, and working staff.
The camp saw the participation of 4-5 advocates who provided
valuable legal guidance on various legal matters. These
experienced legal professionals assisted attendees in
understanding civil disputes, property laws, employment issues,
and other legal concerns. Their insights proved beneficial in
helping many gain clarity on complex legal procedures.
Many students from law and other courses actively participated in
the session, seeking advice on legal issues and enhancing their
understanding of legal rights and procedures. The event also
witnessed the presence of M. Sumitha, President of Paiyanoor, who
attended and supported the initiative. Her presence encouraged
greater participation and reinforced the importance of such legal
aid initiatives in society.
Apart from students, several working staff members also took
advantage of this opportunity to clarify their legal doubts. The
camp was conducted in an interactive manner, allowing attendees to
directly engage with advocates and discuss their concerns in
detail. The session proved to be highly productive and
informative, as it helped spread legal knowledge while addressing
real-life legal issues faced by students and staff.
Advocates at the Free Legal Aid Camp not only provided legal
assistance but also referred students and staff to senior legal
advisors for further guidance on complex legal issues. Overall,
the Free Legal Aid Camp was a successful and productive session,
contributing significantly to the institution’s efforts in legal
outreach and awareness. It emphasized the necessity of legal aid
programs in ensuring justice and accessibility for all.
