From February 6 to February 24, 2025, 33 students from Vinayaka
Mission’s Law School (VMLS) participated in a three-week Student
Immersion Program at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), O P Jindal
Global University. The program provided a comprehensive and
immersive experience of the academic and extracurricular life at
JGLS. The student delegation was accompanied by Prof. Abhinandita
Biswas and Prof. Ashwani Kumar Singh, who served as the VMLS
faculty representatives.
The program featured sessions on a wide range of subjects spanning
legal and ancillary disciplines. Students attended informative
lectures on topics such as Constitutional Law, Judicial Review of
Administrative Action, Environmental Jurisprudence, Flag
Jurisprudence, and Fundamentals of Company Law. The sessions were
designed to broaden students' understanding of legal principles
and their applications. In addition to core law subjects, the
program included sessions on interdisciplinary topics such as
Economic Behaviour, Cultural Genocide, Mental Health Laws, AI and
Legal Learning, and the Reservation Policy vis-à-vis Equality in
India. These sessions aimed to equip students with a holistic
perspective on the intersection of law and other fields. Several
workshops were conducted, enhancing students' practical skills in
areas such as Negotiations and Mooting. Furthermore, the program
provided students with an introduction to research methodologies
and an exploration of the Management-Law Interface.
The students had the opportunity to experience the vibrant culture
of Delhi through a one-day trip to iconic landmarks such as Red
Fort and Dilli Haat. Overall, the Student Immersion Program at
JGLS was a resounding success, offering VMLS students a rich blend
of academic learning and cultural experiences.
